PET fibre liners for insulated packaging, or polyethylene terephthalate liner, are often used in combination with FIBCs, or Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers, during storage and transport. In this way, the poly liners provide extra protection for goods of many different industries. The polyethylene material is very durable and capable of holding various chemicals, fine powders, and other substances considered “flowable.” With materials that insulate against heat, PET liners can provide excellent, multi-level protection for more sensitive goods during transportation.

Temperature Sensitive Industrial Uses

The food and pharmaceutical areas of commerce benefit the most from PET liners, which are also the areas of industry that require the most temperature controls. Insulated packaging with PET liners accommodates the needs of these two industries, as their transported goods and products are sensitive and highly regulated. Contamination must be carefully prevented for all foods, especially powdered substances like flour, sugar, and spices. FIBCs, or bulk bags, are usually used alongside poly liners for maximum protection against the entrance of contaminants, including moisture, UV rays, and oils. Just like edible goods, pharmaceutical supplies and materials must also be meticulously protected from the entrance of foreign substances and harmful forces like UV rays.

As perishable foods, medicines and biological materials are very temperature sensitive, using PET liners with insulating packaging provides superb safeguarding. The PET prevents most contaminants from entering into goods like poultry or vaccines, and the insulation provides the constant refrigeration essential for product integrity and safety.
